"_'" _ ' �.r_..�: � a. : �_. �:, """.�. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-EDA2.3 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PURSUIT OF A SMALL BUSINESS LOAN <br />PROGRAM FOR MOUNDS VIEW BUSINESSES <br />WHEREAS, an action step of the Focus 2000 Implementation Plan <br />recommends the development of incentive programs for business <br />development; and <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission has researched <br />current incentives available to local businesses through federal, state and <br />county programs and evaluated loan programs implemented by other similar <br />metro area cities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission acts as an <br />advisory commission to the Economic Development Authority (EDA) on <br />matters that relate to fostering a positive economic climate, encouraging <br />economic development, and enhancing the tax base of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed program would provide existing businesses <br />with low interest loans for interior and exterior improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed program would enhance the prosperity of <br />local businesses and the image of Mounds View. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development <br />Authority of the City of Mounds View hereby supports the pursuit of a small <br />business loan program as presented in the attached document. <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) <br />Adopted this 13th day of February, 1995. <br />President <br />Executive Director <br />
