I : <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEMOLITION BID FOR THE REMOVAL OF HOUSE <br />LOCATED AT $265 SPRING LAKE ROAD � <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Authority (EDA) approved a Housing <br />Replacement Program per Resolution No. 96-EDA46 on May 13, 1996; and <br />WHEREAS, one of the objectives of the Housing Replacement Program is to replace <br />smaller, lower-valued housing with larger, new and higher-value housing designed for families: and <br />WHEREAS, the EDA approved the purchase of 8265 Spring Lake Road per Resolution <br />No. 96-EDA49 on June 24, 1996; and <br />WHEREAS, staff developed demolition specifications and solicited bids for the removal <br />of the home located at 8265 Spring Lake Road to allow for the development of a larger, new and <br />higher-valued home; and <br />WHEREAS, three bids were received by the deadLine of September 5, 1996 to perform <br />the demolition as outlined in the specifications for demolition; and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest bid received was from Herbst & Sons in the amount of $6,300. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Economic Development <br />Authority hereby accepts the lowest bid for demolition of property located at 8265 Silver Lake Road <br />and awards the contract to Herbst & Sons in the amount of $6, 300; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED TH�iT the Economic Development Authority hereby <br />determines that the acceptance and award of the bid for demolitzon are in furtherance of the <br />Housing Replacement Program. <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEALj <br />Adopted this 9th day of September, 1996. <br />President <br />Executive Director <br />
