RESOLUTION NO. 7952 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH COMCATE FOR THE <br />DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A FORWARD FACING "CITIZEN <br />MOBILE ACCESS" (CMA) SMART PHONE APP TO INTEGRATE WITH THE CITY'S <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT MANAGER (CEM) SOFTWARE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been a Comcate client since 2009, <br />utilizing their "Code Enforcement Manager" software to improve and enhance the City's <br />code enforcement program, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City has explored the further enhancement of the program by <br />developing and implementing a smart phone application to allow residents to more <br />easily and conveniently report code violations or other concerns of a municipal nature, <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, the City is in receipt of an agreement from Comcate to develop and <br />implement a forward facing app to be used on iPhone and Android smart phones, and; <br />WHEREAS, <br />develop and implei <br />$2,400, and; <br />Comcate has offered to provide a 20% discount on the cost to <br />�ent this application, bringing the upfront investment down to <br />WHEREAS, implementing this application will enhance communications with the <br />residents, improve the City's Code Enforcement program and support the goal of <br />budget sustainability through technology advancements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota, approval of an agreement with Comcate to <br />develop and implement a forward facing smart phone Citizen Mobile Access (CMA) app <br />to seamlessly integrate with the Code Enforcement Manager (CEM) software at a <br />discounted cost of $2,400, to be paid using existing funds from account 100-4180- <br />3030. <br />ATTEST: <br />(seal) <br />Adop ed this 14th day of May 2012 <br />e Flahe , ayor <br />��.� �-�,t-�-�� <br />Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br />
