RESOLUTION 7962 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2012 FORD F350 PICKUP <br /> WHEREAS, as part of the Public Works Departments maintenance programs, <br /> vehicles are a necessity; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Street Department has been utilizing the 2000 Ford pickup which <br /> has been the primary plow truck for the parking lots and trails; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has $30,000.00 in the 2012 5 year Financial Plan 2013 through <br /> 2017, 460-4160-7030, to replace the current vehicle; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has obtained a quote from Midway Ford under the State of <br /> Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture for a 2012 Ford F350 Pickup in the amount of <br /> $25,871.38 plus sales taxes and any applicable license fees; and <br /> WHEREAS, additionally the vehicle will require a warning light system to be <br /> purchased at the cost of$1,290.00 plus sales tax to be installed by Action Fleet Inc.; and <br /> WHEREAS, additionally the vehicle will require a front plow and rear tail gate to be <br /> installed by Crysteel Truck and Equipment of Fridley MN. at the cost of$9,551.44 under the <br /> State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture plus sales tax; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of a 2012 Ford F350 Pickup Truck from <br /> Midway Ford at the cost of $25,871.38 plus sales taxes and any applicable <br /> license fees. <br /> 2. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of a warning light system, front plow <br /> and rear lift gate at the combined cost of$10,841.44 plus sales tax. <br /> 3.
