RESOLUTION NO. 7977 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> Resolution Authorizing Certification of the Preliminary General Fund Budget and <br /> Property Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2013 <br /> WHEREAS, current state statute requires cities to certify a preliminary budget and <br /> tax levy to the county auditor; and, <br /> WHEREAS, guidelines established by the Commissioner of Revenue require <br /> certification to occur on or before September 15, 2012; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Revenue has certified the amount of Local <br /> Government Aid payable to the City in 2013; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has elected to have no preliminary levy increase. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View that the preliminary budget for the General Fund for fiscal year 2013 is $5,666,556. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposed 2013 base property tax levy is <br /> $3,625,809 (General Fund $3,325,809 and Street Improvement Fund $300,000) and the <br /> proposed 2013 special levies are $555,572 for a total net property tax levy of$4,181,381. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director shall certify these amounts <br /> to the Ramsey County Auditor. <br /> Adopted this 27th Day of August 2012. <br /> e Flah- - "r <br /> ATTEST: <br /> J cvrn-t4 <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
