RESOLUTION 7989 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING BASEBALL FIELD IMPROVEMENTS AT LAMBERT PARK <br /> WHEREAS, a comprehensive layout for Lambert Park was completed to better <br /> utilize the 2.87-acre parkland space while providing more green space; and <br /> WHEREAS, recent improvements have been completed or in progress from the <br /> comprehensive layout, including on-street parking, a new park shelter, park irrigation, and <br /> playground replacement; and <br /> WHEREAS, addition improvements are planned that include a reconstructing the <br /> previously-existing baseball field removed to accommodate the new park shelter; and <br /> WHEREAS, fencing, grading, turf establishment, and concrete work are needed to <br /> make the baseball field useable again; and <br /> WHEREAS, public works staff solicited quotes from qualified contractors to furnish <br /> and install baseball field fencing at Lambert Park with the low quote of $10,640 submitted <br /> by Centuray Fence Company of Forest Lake, Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, other balifield improvements for grading, turfing, and concrete work are <br /> estimated to total approximately $5,500; and <br /> WHEREAS, monies have been included in the 2012 Budget for the above said work <br /> under the Park Dedication Fund (451-4470-7050). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The quote proposal submitted by Century Fence Company to furnish and install <br /> baseball field fencing at Lambert Park is Iereby accepted by the City. Compensation <br /> will be on a lump sum basis of$10,640 for i.aid services. <br /> 2. The Director of Public Works is hereby aut orized and directed, for and on behalf of the <br /> City, to enter into agreement with Centu , Fence Company for said services at said <br /> price. <br /> 3.
