<br />RESOLUTION NO. 4471 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING UPPER MIDWEST GOLDEN GLOVES TO CONDUCT BOXING <br />EVENT AT THE BEL-RAE BALLROOM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, 1992, 341.08, requires the consent of the <br />governing body of any municipality before the State Boxing Commission <br />issues any license to conduct boxing or sparring exhibitions in the <br />municipality, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Upper Midwest Golden Gloves has requested consent of the City <br />Council to conduct amateur boxing matches on January 25, 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council has approved similar boxing matches which were <br />conducted in the past; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said boxing matches were conducted without significant <br />problems. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View that Upper Midwest Golden Gloves is hereby authorized to <br />conduct amateur boxing matches at the Bel-Rae Ballroom, 5394 Edgewood <br />Drive, on January 25, 1994 upon the following conditions: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />certified copy of the State License for said matches to be filed <br />with Clerk-Administrator. <br /> <br />2) Two uniformed, sworn pOlice officers, approved by the Mounds <br />view Police Chief, shall be in attendance. Said officers to be <br />reimbursed by the promoter. <br /> <br />3) All beer, set-ups and other refreshments shall be dispensed in <br />paper cups. <br /> <br />4) Premises shall be closed by 12:00 Midnight. <br /> <br />5) Promoter shall provide Clerk-Administrator with:a certificate. <br />of Insurance from the promoter's liability insurance carrier, <br />providing for coverages of $1 million for bodily injury and <br />$100,000 for property damage. <br /> <br />6) The Mounds View Police Chief is authorized to stop any boxing <br />show or take other appropriate action to discontinue an unlawful <br />or undesirable activity associated with any boxing show conducted <br />within the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br />Adopted this 27 day of December, 1993. <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />, <br />
