<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4552 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE FOR ADDITIONAL <br />CITY BALL IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is nearing the completion of the <br />city Hall Expansion and Remodeling Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS,- there are additional items to be completed that were not <br />included as part of the general contractor's base bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the items are: painting Council Chambers, hallway in <br />entrance of city Hall, community room, kitchen and Police sally <br />port; replacing ceiling tiles in Chambers and main entrance <br />hallway; building minute room in copier room, wall for <br />storage downstairs, and enclosure for electrical panel in <br />downstairs women's restroom; installing 10 door stops and holders <br />with floor strikes; running electricity to shelter. in City Hall <br />park; signage for city offices; miscellaneous electrical and <br />telephone work; office furniture and additional Conference Room <br />chairs; landscape work and signage (for exterior); and adding <br />concrete sidewalk and patio area (South and West side of new <br />office area near Administration Conference Room); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the funding of these items had been budgeted as part of <br />the city Hall Project, but were not included as part of the work <br />in the general contractor's base bid because of inflated quotes; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is $533,465 in the City Hall Project Fund and the <br />City Hall improvements to date have cost approximately $460,000, <br />which leaves approximately $73,000 to fund additional City Hall <br />improvements. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />hereby authorize City staff to proceed with the additional city <br />Hall improvements as listed and that these improvements be funded <br />out of the city Hall Building Improvement Fund, No. 697-4121-303. <br /> <br />Presented this 25th day of April, 1994. <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />.
