<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4558 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY-OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRE OF KURT JOHNSON, <br />GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the position of Golf Course Superintendent was advertised <br />in several local publications as well as in the national Golf <br />Course Superintendents of America newsletter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, approximately 90 candidates applied for the position, <br />about half of which were from out of state; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kurt Johnson applied for the position and met all of the <br />qualifications as described in the job announcement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor's degree from the University of <br />Minnesota in Park and Recreation and also has several years of golf <br />course experience with the City of Brooklyn Center, the Mora County <br />Club and Woodhill Country Club in Wayzata; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, his education and past work experience indicate he has the <br />knowledge, skills and ability to perform the job tasks and duties <br />of the Golf Course Superintendent position; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the interview panel proposes that <br />Kurt Johnson be hired for this Golf Course superintendent position <br />starting Monday, May 23, 1994 at $38,000/yr. to be funded out ;of <br />account number 100-4375-010. After 6 months and a satisfactory <br />performance evaluation, he would be adjusted to $40,000/yr. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this hire is contingent upon successful <br />completion of a physical examination and drug test. <br /> <br />Presented this 9th day of May, 1994. <br /> <br />"(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />(ATTEST) <br />
