<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3076 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF WATER <br />TREATMENT EQUIPMENT FROM A SOLE SOURCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Filtronics equipment is unique in that it <br />filters at a rate five times higher than that of any other <br />equipment on the market, achieves a high degree of iron <br />removal and also removes manganese, uses approximately ten <br />percent of the water for backwash of other available <br />equipment, is fully automated, and is available from only one <br />source. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Mounds View that the Filtronics Incorporated <br />filtration equipment is "non-competitive equipment" within the <br />meaning of Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.36, and therefore <br />is exempted from the competitive bidding requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted this 27th day of August, 1990. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />~. <br />Actin -----~ ----- nistratpr <br />
