<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4117 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY STAFF <br />FOR THEIR PART IN ORGANIZING THE <br />15m ANNUAL"FESTIV AL IN THE PARK" CELEBRATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this year marked the 15th anniversary of the annual "Festival in the "Park" <br />celebration as sponsored by the City of Mounds View; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such a community-wide celebration requires a cooperative effort by City <br />Staff and community volunteers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department were instrumental in the security and traffic control <br />for the parade and the Police Reserves provided security during the Festival activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department prepared City Hall Park for the Festival, <br />provided assistance to organizations participating in the Festival, assisted with traffic control <br />measures and secured the park for the fireworks display; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department provided fire safety measures and assisted with traffic <br />control during the fireworks display; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cable Committee provided the Cable TV coverage of the community <br />parade;and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department provided the overall <br />organization of the "Festival in the Park" with a year-long process of planning activities, <br />providing publicity, fund raising, recruiting and working with community volunteers, contracting <br />services and finally supervising the day's events. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View does commend and congratulate those employees of the City of Mounds View who <br />worked together to provide the community with the 15th annual "Festival in the Park" city <br />celebration. <br /> <br />Presented this 26th day of August, 1991. <br /> <br />Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br />Phyllis Blanchard, Councilmember <br /> <br />Diane Wuori, Councilmember <br /> <br />Gary Quick, Councilmember <br /> <br />Pat Rickaby, Cou:ncilmember <br /> <br />Samantha Orduno, Clerk-Administrator <br />
