<br />" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4105 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESoumON PROCLAIMING TUESDAY, JULY 23 <br />"IRONDALE MARCHING KNIGHIS DAY" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Irondale Knights Marching Band, under the direction of Jeff Goldsmith and lead <br />by Drum Majors Lynn Schwieters and Bob Freimuth, have performed with pride and excellence <br />throughout the State of Minnesota during the Summer of 1991; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, through dedication and hard work, the Irondale ~ts Marching Band has achieved <br />numerous honors including first place at the 10th Annual District American Legion Parade, Father <br />Hennepin Days Parade, Roseville Rosefest Parade, Buffalo Days Parade, and the State American Legion <br />Parade in Duluth; and Grand Champion awards at th~ Grand Rapids Centennial Parade, Vikingland Band <br />Festival, Albert Lea Fourth of July Parade and the Aquatennial Grande Day Parade; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Marching Knights achieved many sectional awards including best drurnline, best <br />colorguard, and best wind section; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Marching Knights are instructed by a dedicated and talented staff including <br />Director Jeff Goldsmith, colorguard instructors Gary Swanson and Stacy McMurtry, drumline instructors <br />Bruce Seagren, Craig Zweber, Pete Markham, Eric Wiggins and Jill Jacobson; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Irondale Marching Knights have been outstanding representatives of Irondale <br />High School and the Cities of Mounds View and New Brighton through their display of good <br />sportsmanship and spirit. <br /> <br />NOW, nmREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED that Tuesday, July 23, 1991 be proclaimed as <br />"IRONDALE KNIGHIS MARaIING BAND DAY" <br /> <br />in the City of Mounds in recognition of their outstanding marching band season. <br /> <br />Presented this 22nd day of July, 1991. <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br />Phyllis Blanchard, Councilmember <br /> <br />Diane Wuori, Councilmember <br /> <br />Gary Quick, Councilmember <br /> <br />Pat Rickaby, Councilmember <br /> <br />ArrEST: <br /> <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator <br />
