<br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
<br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY
<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA
<br />
<br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AWARDING CONSTRUCTION BIDS FOR
<br />PHASE II OF THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds View
<br />advertised for bids for the construction of Phase II of the Mounds
<br />View Community Center, and;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the bid packages were opened and evaluated
<br />to identify the lowest responsible bidder, and;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council has chosen to include the
<br />following alternates in the project, alternates
<br />1,2,3,4,5,8,10,12,13,15,16,19 and 20, and;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the base bid for the project based on the
<br />low bidders plus the alternates is $3,108,087.00 and the total of
<br />the alternates is $354,389.00 plus the additional construction
<br />management fee of 3% is $10,631.00, and;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the total amount of Phase II of the
<br />Community Center project is $3,473,107.00 and will be funded by Tax
<br />Increment Financing (TIF) funds, and;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the low bidders are identified in Exhibit
<br />A attached to this resolution, and;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes the Director of
<br />Public Works to sign all change orders up to 1% of the project.
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council .
<br />of the City of Mounds View does hereby approve and award the
<br />construction of Phase II of the Community Center to the bidders
<br />identified in Exhibit A, and;
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the total amount of the \
<br />project awarded will be $3,473,107.00 in which the City Council
<br />hereby authorizes the following alternates be added to the
<br />project, alternates 1,2,3,4,5,8,10,12,13,15,16,19 and 20, and;
