<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5236 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT REVIEW FOR THE EXPANSION <br />OF THE MERMAID ENTERTAINMENT CENTER, 2200 HIGHWAY 10; <br />PLANNING CASE NO. 523-98 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mermaid has requested City approval to expand its operation at 2200 <br />Highway 10 by adding eight additional bowling lanes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 1006 of the Mounds View Municipal Code requires that a <br />development review be conducted for all commercial and industrial development within the City; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has reviewed the following documents <br />regarding this proposal: <br /> <br />1. Planning Application, dated 4/17/98 <br />2. Zoning and Location Map <br />3. Site Plans, date-stamped 5/11/98 <br />4. Planning Commission Resolution 545-98 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council finds that the dimensional requirements as set <br />forth in Chapter 1104 of the Municipal Code, with revisions to the site plan dated 4/17/98, can be <br />met; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Mounds View Planning Commission approved Resolution No. 545-98 <br />on May 6, 1998, recommending approval to the City Council of this development review. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves the development review request for the Mermaid Entertainment Center, to allow for the <br />addition of eight bowling lanes, subject to the following stipulations: <br /> <br />1. The site plans shall have been redrawn to show (1) concrete curb and gutter on the <br />parking area along the north property boundary, (2) the inclusion of two van-accessible <br />handicap stalls, (3) a sidewalk along the western edge of the addition to connect with the <br />existing and proposed sidewalks, and (4) 45 degree angled parking in the area of the <br />expansion, as shown on or similar to Exhibit 1 of this resolution. If the resulting parking <br />count faIls below 482 spaces, a variance will need to be obtained from the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Before permits are issued for this expansion, the applicant shall obtain a Rice Creek <br />Watershed District permit and shall enter into a development agreement with the City. <br />
