RESOLUTION 8023 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING STANTEC CONSULTING SERVICES INC. TO PERFORM <br /> FINAL DESIGN AND PREPARE BIDDING DOCUMENTS FOR COUNTY ROAD H <br /> SIDEWALK PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan includes a trail and sidewalk map to be used <br /> for development and improvement of a citywide trailway system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Department, Parks and Recreation and Forestry <br /> Commission (Parks Commission), and the Streets and Utilities Committee (Streets <br /> Committee) all recommend a sidewalk in the north boulevard of County Road H between <br /> Silver Lake Road and Edgewood Drive; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council authorized Stantec to perform preliminary design for <br /> the proposed sidewalk along County Road H (Res. 7935); and <br /> WHEREAS, a public information meeting was held in July 2012 and adjacent <br /> property owners were invited to learn about the proposed sidewalk and provide feedback to <br /> engineering staff and the Parks Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, cost-share opportunities for construction of the proposed sidewalk <br /> exists with Ramsey County and grant monies may be available from the Safe Routes to <br /> School Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Stantec provided a fee proposal for $28,000 to perform final design and <br /> prepare bidding documents for the proposed County Road H sidewalk project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The fee proposal submitted by Stantec to perform final design and prepare bidding <br /> documents for the County Road H sidewalk is hereby accepted by the City. <br /> Compensation will be on an hourly basis plus reimbursable expenses for $28,000 with a <br /> maximum estimated fee of$30,000 for said services. <br /> 2.
