RESOLUTION NO. 8029 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA Adopting the 2013 Property Tax Levy WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted numerous meetings and has made available detailed copies of the proposed 2013 Budget; and WHEREAS, the City Council provided the public an opportunity to speak at the Truth in Taxation council meeting on December 3, 2012 to take comment on the proposed 2013 tax levy; and WHEREAS, General Obligation Improvement Bonds of 2004 were issued and require a debt service levy of$190,800 and Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 were issued and require a debt service levy of $51,130 to be collected in 2013; and WHEREAS, when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 2005 were issued, the debt service was scheduled to be $97,680, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating cities, Mounds View's actual 2013 cost on said bonds will be $93,497; and WHEREAS, when the Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 were issued, the debt service was scheduled to be $51,387, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participation cities, Mounds View's actual 2013 cost on said bonds will be $51,130. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that the following property tax levy for 2013 is hereby approved: General Fund base levy $ 3,325,809 Fire Bonds of 2005 levy 93,497 Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 levy 51,130 PERA rate increase levy 39,145 Police Referendum market value levy 181.000 Total General Fund property tax levy $3,690,581 G.O. Improvement Bonds of 2004 debt service levy $ 190,800 Street Improvement Capital Projects Fund levy $ 300,000 Total Property Tax Levy $4,181,381 and the City Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota of said 2013 property tax levy.
