RESOLUTION NO. 8029 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> Adopting the 2013 Property Tax Levy <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted numerous meetings and has made available detailed <br /> copies of the proposed 2013 Budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council provided the public an opportunity to speak at the Truth in Taxation <br /> council meeting on December 3, 2012 to take comment on the proposed 2013 tax levy; and <br /> WHEREAS, General Obligation Improvement Bonds of 2004 were issued and require a debt service <br /> levy of$190,800 and Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 were issued and require a debt service levy of <br /> $51,130 to be collected in 2013; and <br /> WHEREAS, when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 2005 were issued, the debt service was <br /> scheduled to be $97,680, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating cities, <br /> Mounds View's actual 2013 cost on said bonds will be $93,497; and <br /> WHEREAS, when the Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 were issued, the debt service was <br /> scheduled to be $51,387, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participation cities, <br /> Mounds View's actual 2013 cost on said bonds will be $51,130. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that the <br /> following property tax levy for 2013 is hereby approved: <br /> General Fund base levy $ 3,325,809 <br /> Fire Bonds of 2005 levy 93,497 <br /> Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 levy 51,130 <br /> PERA rate increase levy 39,145 <br /> Police Referendum market value levy 181.000 <br /> Total General Fund property tax levy $3,690,581 <br /> G.O. Improvement Bonds of 2004 debt service levy $ 190,800 <br /> Street Improvement Capital Projects Fund levy $ 300,000 <br /> Total Property Tax Levy $4,181,381 <br /> and the City Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota of said <br /> 2013 property tax levy. <br /> Said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 10th day of December, 2012. <br /> )oe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
