<br />'" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4142 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PLANNING PROCESS OF RAMSEY COUNTY <br />AND ITS CITIES AND ENSURE THE ECONOMIC HEALTH OF THE COUNTY <br />AND ALL OF ITS CITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the economic vitality of all areas within Ramsey <br />County is essential to the long term viability and success of <br />the County as a whole; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to insure the economic health of Ramsey County, <br />the Ramsey County municipalities and the Metro East area, it <br />is essential to cooperate, coordinate and .avoid duplication in <br />order to assure the common interests of all concerned; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cities have primarily focused on economic <br />development activities within each of their own communities; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is also a need to look beyond municipal <br />and County boundaries for cooperative economic development <br />solutions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County is fully developed, compact in <br />size, and limited in public resources; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, cooperation is one key to becoming more <br />effective in our economic development efforts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff Representatives of the cities of Arden <br />Hills, Falcon Heights, MaplewOOd, Mounds View, New Brighton, <br />North St. Paul, Roseville, St. Paul,Shoreview, St. Anthony, <br />Vadnais Heights , White Bear Lake, andWhi te Bear Town, .and <br />Ramsey County, the Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce, and the <br />Metro East Development Partnership have been meeting to <br />discuss issues of common interest related to economic <br />development in Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these meetings have led to a dialogue which may <br />result in the development of goals and priorities. for economic <br />development in Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Staff Representatives.wish to secure the <br />support and active involvement of the elected officials; and <br />
