k <br />k . <br />i <br />Summary and Conclusions: <br />Mounds View residents rate tl-ie quality of life in their city <br />very high, They are comfortable with the direction things appear <br />to be moving in, and feel confident that they can impact City <br />decisionsy if necessary: Although somewhat short on community <br />pride, Mounds View residents contain an unusually large group of <br />civic boosters. <br />The geographic location of Mounds View provides a great <br />appeal to prospective residents. Many current home owners and <br />renters were attraCted here in part because of the easy access to <br />the rest of the Metropolitan Area, They also came because of the <br />affordable housing. Hut, the housing mir, also presents a long <br />range problem, as maturing families move to larger homes to <br />accommodate their expansion, Aside from this housing issue, the <br />city residents perceive no overwhelming problems. <br />The mood, then, in Mounds View is confidence in the future. <br />People have no major prablems with general city policies and few <br />amplaints about serious deficiencies. As a maturing community, <br />Mounds View begins this part of its "life cycle" in a truly <br />enviable position. <br />26
