While there is general satisfaction with the present <br />communications system, there are several deficiencies with <br />respect to community integration: new-comers and renters, to a <br />lesser extent are not part of the current system. The numbers <br />indicate, though, that the focus should be placed primarily on <br />the delivery systems, rather than content. Although some changes <br />in repo'rted topics could be made, the expansian of the current <br />communications network would appear to b the more pressing <br />concern. <br />PrimarY Source of CitY Government Information: <br />To measure the types of communications vehicles used by <br />residents in finding out about city government activities, <br />respondents were asked: <br />What is your principal source of <br />i nfor ation about city gavernoent <br />and its activities? <br />The "Mounds View City Newsletter" was specifically mentioned by a <br />large thirty-eight percent of the residents: <br />NONE.................................o.....4% <br />PEOPLE...........................e.e.......5% <br />IVEWSLETTER ................................38% <br />BULLETIN,e........a ....................... <br />15% <br />TELEVISION ........................a........3% <br />PAPER.....................................Z7% <br />OTHER......e..o .........................o..4Y <br />The "New Brighton Hulletin" and other loeal papers, when added to <br />the reach of the newsletter, total fifty percent of the <br />87
