<br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4366 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING "FOCUS 2000" AS THE OFFICIAL NAME OF <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW'S 1993/94 COMMUNITY-DRIVEN VISIONING <br />PROCESS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has determined that a <br />community-driven visioning process will empower the stakeholders of <br />the city to help set the future direction of their city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desired to engage stakeholders of all ages <br />in the process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City conducted a "Name the Future Vision" Contest <br />for Mounds View students in grades 1-8 to provide the students with <br />the opportunity to be the "first" stakeholders to invest in their <br />community by naming the process that will involve their parents, <br />neighbors, friends and family in the year long project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the contest resulted in 61 entries and 10 grade level <br />winners from Pinewood Elementary, sunnyside Elementary and Edgewood <br />Middle schools; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, from the 10 grade level winners, the entry, FOCUS <br />2000. submitted by Edgewood Middle School Seventh Grader, Sabina <br />Sabur, was selected by the City Council to be the name by which the <br />City of Mounds View's visioning process would be known. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city Council in and <br />for the City of Mounds View does declare the 1993/94 visioning <br />process to be hereby and forever named, FOCUS 2000. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the name FOCUS 2000 shall be <br />published on every piece of literature and promotional material <br />relating to the City's community-driven visioning process. <br /> <br />Adopted this 10 day of May, 1993. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
