<br />RESOLUTION NO. 4375 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF COUNCILMEMBER PAT <br />RICKABY AND DECLARING THE SCHEDULE FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION AS <br />PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY CHARTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Pat Rickaby has submitted a letter of <br />resignation from the City Council effective July 1, 1993; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the vacancy created by Councilmember Rickaby's departure <br />must be filled in the manner prescribed in the City Charter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Charter stipulates that when there are more <br />than 365 days remaining in a Councilmember's term who has vacated their <br />office, a special election must take place within 90 days. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, the City Council in and for <br />the City of Mounds View does hereby declare the following: <br /> <br />1. The resignation of Councilmember Pat Rickaby is hereby <br />accepted effective July 1, 1993. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />A Special Election will be held on August 24, 1993 to fill the <br />Council seat vacated by Councilmember Rickaby. <br /> <br />3. The required legal notification for the special election will be <br />published in the City's legal newspaper, The Bulletin, on <br />June 23, 1993. <br /> <br />4. Filing for candidacy will open on Tuesday, June 22, 1993 at 8:00 a.m. <br />and will close on Tuesday, July 13, 1993 at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />5. Polling place will be the Bel-Rae Ballroom, 5394 Edgewood Drive, <br />Mounds View, Minnesota. <br /> <br />6.
