<br />. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4662 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN ENERGY AND OPERATIONS <br />ASSESSMENT BY/WITH HONEYWELL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State Legislature has recently enacted Minnesota Statute <br />471.345 to direct municipalities to develop agreements with businesses which will <br />guarantee savings in energy and operations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Statute allows the City to select a vendor based on experience, <br />track record record and ability to perform when the energy and operational contract is <br />guaranteed to be self-funding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under this provision, the City has selected Honeywell as the vendor <br />of choice to negotiate a Municipal Services Contract. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council in and for the City of <br />Mounds View does hereby direct the Clerk-Administrator to begin the process by <br />which Honeywell will determine the feasibility, scope, terms and timeframe for <br />entering into an agreement. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on the basis that the Honeywell preliminary <br />proposal will be self-funding and given a written guarantee of savings, meeting the <br />criteria set by the City, the City will consider entering into an agreement with <br />Honeywell for the aforementioned Municipal Services program. <br /> <br />BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the City agrees that the preliminary evaluation and <br />recommendations of energy conservation measures as well as the preliminary <br />proposal shall remain the property of Honeywell and may not be used by the City for <br />the purposes of competitive bidding or for the purposes of entering into a guaranteed <br />energy contract with any other qualified provider. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
