RESOLUTION 8073 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A REVISED POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR SEASONAL <br /> MAINTENANCE WORKER IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, temporary seasonal maintenance workers are employed in the <br /> Public Works Department during summer and non-winter months to provide the <br /> necessary semi-skilled and general maintenance work force to address peak work <br /> demands, whereby reducing the encumbrance to the City by not having to hire <br /> permanent maintenance positions with higher salaries and benefits; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council approved the 2013 seasonal maintenance positions <br /> on February 11, 2013 (Res. 8060); and <br /> WHEREAS, the current version of the Seasonal Maintenance Worker position <br /> description is in its original 1997 state and is brief and not very descriptive; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the position description and is proposing <br /> revisions that increase and better describe the details of the duties, responsibilities, and <br /> requirements of the position. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota that the attached Seasonal Maintenance <br /> Worker position description for the Public Works Department is hereby approved. <br /> Adopted this 11th day of March, 2013. <br /> j oeFla.- I kA - • <br /> ATTEST: <br /> JCtinAl <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
