RESOLUTION NO. 8082 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> County of Ramsey <br /> State of Minnesota <br /> ADOPTING A CALENDAR FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE 2014 BUDGET <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Charter and Code as well as State Statutes set forth various <br /> requirements for considering and adopting the City's budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 7.04 of the City Charter requires the Clerk-Administrator to submit to <br /> the City Council a budget calendar to be established by resolution. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View <br /> that the following budget and long tern financial plan calendar is hereby adopted: <br /> June 3, 2013 City Council discusses budget priorities at a work session. <br /> June 28, 2013 Summary of General Fund operating budget requests delivered to City <br /> Council. <br /> July 1, 2013 City Council reviews General Fund budget at work session. <br /> August 26, 2013 City Council adopts preliminary 2014 property tax levy or defers to <br /> September 12th meeting and sets date for the Truth in Taxation Public <br /> Hearing. <br /> Oct. 7, 2013 City Council reviews other funds and utility rate study at a work session. <br /> Nov. 11, 2013 City Council adopts utility rates for 2014. <br /> Nov. 25, 2013 Truth in Taxation Public Hearing. <br /> Dec. 9, 2013 Continuation Hearing and adoption of 2014 budget and tax levy. <br /> Adopted April 8, 2013. <br /> .e Flaherty, - • <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
