<br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5356 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW'S PARTICIPATION <br />AS A REPRESENTATIVE MEMBER OF THE NEWLY FORMED <br />ANOKA COUNTY- BLAINE AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMISSION <br />AND AUTHORIZATION TO SEEK APPLICANTS FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE <br />COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has actively sought a viable forum for address of <br />Anoka County - Blaine Airport operational issues; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has supported the concept of an airport advisory <br />board in recent legislative efforts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council decms it vital for its residents to have direct <br />contact with Metropolitan Airports Commission staffmembcrs, Anoka County - Blaine Airport <br />management and airport users and pilots on airport issues affecting our community, <br /> <br />THEREFORE BE IT NOW RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council approves of the <br />by-laws developed by the communities surrounding thc Anoka County - Blaine Airport and <br />agrees to participate by appointing two representativcs to the Commission. Thc City CounciJ <br />further understands that no significant monetary commitment is being sought for this <br />participation, and that the actions of the Commission will be advisory in nature to Airport <br />operators, the communities involved and the regional authorities overseeing airport development <br />in the metropolitan area. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Administrator is hereby authorized to <br />advertisc for interested applicants for Commission appointment after approval by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Adopted this 9th day of August, 1999. <br /> <br />~' ---~ <br />\ ~. 1 <br /> <br />( I, (.<(:;I /(:. <br />IJKz,-_ '--/ Ok,!
