<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Resolution 1'\0. 5368 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />County of Ramsey <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />A resolution authorizing a property tax rate increase for the year 2000 pursuant to State <br />Statutes. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, State Statutes require taxing jurisdictions to pass a resolution prior to October 201h if <br />they wish to have a tax rate increase as defined by the Statute over the previous year's tax rate; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the preliminary budget provides for an increase in the tax levy of less than 1 % and <br />an increase in excess of 5% in the City's tax capacity; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Statutes formula for calculating an increase in the City's year 2000 property tax <br />rate indicated that there will be an increase; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City considered this increase at a regularly scheduled City Council meeting which <br />meets the requirement of a public hearing as defined in said statute. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Milmesota that said City does hereby authorize that the property tax rate for the year 2000 be <br />greater than that for the year 1999. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of September, 1999. <br /> <br />(,.-----------\ ,,- ./"'- <br />, , / ' /,( <br />" I .' .,.
