RESOLUTION NO. 5408 CITY OF MOUNDS VlEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY ST A TE OF MINNESOTA RESOLlJTION REQUESTING EXTENSION OF THE DUE DATE TO June 30, 2000 FOR REVIEW OF TIlE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR CONSISTENCY WITH AMENDED METROJ)OLITAN COUNCIL POLICY PLANS WHEREAS, state statutes (Minn. Stat. 473.175-473.871 (1996) requires that cities revicw- and revise their comprehensive plans for consistency \vith Metropolitan Council policy plans: and WHEUEAS, the Metropolitan Council has amended its policy plans: and has provided system statements outlining Council policy relative to the city: and WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is required to review its comprehensive plan for consistency with the amended policy plans and to prepare a re\.ised comprehensive plan Il)!" subm ission to the Metropolitan Council by December 3] .1998 unless extensions an~ granted: and WHEREAS, the City adopted Resolution No. 5343 on June 14, 1999 requesting that the MetropL)litan Counc i I grant an extension to Dccem ber 3 1. 1999 to complete its comprehensivc plan: circulate the rcvised document to adjacent govcrnmentalunits and atfeeted school districts for revie\v and comment and, following approval by the planning com 111 ission and after consideration by thc City Council, submit the plan to the Metropolitan Council filr review. WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has schedulcd and budgeted to complete a major review and update of its comprehcnsive plan by June 30, 1999: and has proceeded diligently to complctc its comprehensive plan fix Metropolitan Cnuncil review: NOW, THEREFORE, BI<~ IT RESOLVU), that the City of Mounds View requests that the Metropolitan Council grant the City of Mounds View an cxtcnsion to June 30. 2000 to complete its compn:hcnsive plan: circulate the revised documcnt to the adjacent governmcntalunits and affected school districts for revicw and comment: and, tl)lIowing approval by the Planning Commission and after considcration by the City Council. submit thc plan to thc Mctropolitan Councilll)r review. Thc mution for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member Stigney seconded by Council Mcmher Thomason. and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Council Mcmbcrs Stigney. Thomason. Marty, Quick. Coughlin and the following voted against thc same: Nonc WHEREUPON said resolution \Vas declared duly passed and adopted this 10th day of January, 2000.
