<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5474 <br /> <br />CITY O~~ MOUNDS VIE'" <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />ST A TE OF l\Hl\";\TESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT RAMSEY COUNTY INVESTIGATE AND <br />D'lPLEMENT CERTAIN PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVElVIENTS ON COUNTY <br />HIGHWAY 10 <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has tumed over jurisdiction ofthc road\vay in the City of <br />Mounds View formcrly known as Trunk Highway No. 10 to Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, said roadway is now known as County Road 10; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has identified a number of pedestrian safety concems <br />along said roadway; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thcrc has been a pedestrian fatality and other vehicle/pedestrian incidents along <br />said roadway; and <br /> <br />'VHEREAS, Ramsey County staffhas indicated a commitment to work with the City of Mounds <br />View to investigate changes that wi 11 improve both vehicular and pedestrian safety along County <br />Higl1\vay 10. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Mounds View hcreby rcquests that <br />Ramsey County invcstigate and implement as soon as possible the following changes to improvc <br />pedestrian safcty on Highway 10: <br /> <br />I. Reduce thc spccdlimit on County Highway 10 from 50 mph to 40 or 45 mph. <br />Install additional specd limit signs. <br />3. Increase sign.al pedestrian \valk-tinlc. <br />4.
