<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5517 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STA TE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF APPRECIA TlON FOR FIREFIGHTER JIM HANSEN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jim Hansen has been employed by the Spring Lake Park/Blaine/Mounds View Fire <br />Department for twenty-one years as a volunteer firefighter: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Jim joined the Fire Department on September 26, 1979, and was assigned to Station <br />Two days; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jim was appointed as acting Fire Motor Operator and Acting Captain in the 1980s <br />and was appointed to the rank of Captain at Station Three in December, 1994: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Jim was assigned as Acting District Two Chief, permanently appointed to that <br />position in January of 1996 and promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief in July of 1999: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jim attended a myriad of special courses and seminars on various areas of fire <br />fighting and was first certified as Firefighter I, II and III between 1989 and 1992 and has maintained <br />current certification to the present time; and <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, Jim has met all training requirements and standards and been certified as Fire <br />Investigator I. II and III by the National Fire Protection Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jim received his Instructor Teaching License in 1988 and was selected to be a <br />member of the MN Fire Instructors Assn. And Examiner for the State of Minnesota by the Certification <br />Board in 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jim has responded to more than 3.200 fire calls and attended over 1,675 weekly <br />drills, participated in public fire education and public relations events and retired on January 31, 2001. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED that I, Richard Sonterre, Mayor of the City of Mounds <br />View, members of the City Council, employees of the Spring Lake Park/Blaine/Mounds View Fire <br />Department and residents of the City of Mounds View express our appreciation to Jim Hansen for his <br />devoted services as Firefighter and Captain. <br /> <br />Presented this 1ih day of February, 2001. <br /> <br />7b <br /> <br />Rich Son terre, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />SEAL: <br /> <br />"')\-';;Jl~ ~.'~ <br />Kathieen Miller, City Administrator <br /> <br />. <br />
