<br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5540 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT REVIEW AND CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT FOR PIN EWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 5500 QUINCY STREET; <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING CASES DEOt-OOt AND CUOt-OOl <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The applicant, Pinewood Elementary School (Mounds View Independent <br />School District 62]), has applied for a development review to construct a ]0,000 square foot <br />building expansion and parking lot expansion; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pinewood Elementary School is located at 5500 Quincy Street, property <br />zoned R-I, Single-Family Residential and is legally-described as shown on attached Exhibit A; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, according to Section 1006.06 of the Mounds View Municipal Code, any <br />new constmction or expansion of existing facilities requires the approval of a development <br />review; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, according to Section 1106.04 of the Mounds View Zoning Code, schools <br />are conditionally permitted in the R-I, Single-Family Residential district; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the applicant submitted a set of plans pertaining to the expansion which <br />included a Site Plan, Removals Plan, Site Layout and Paving Plan, Grading and Drainage Plan, <br />Site Detail Plan, Exterior Elevations, Interior Floor Plan and a Photometric Analysis, all of which <br />shall collectively be referred to as the "Site Plans;" and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the expansion will add 10,000 square feet of multi-purpose space, <br />classrooms, offices and new entryways to the school as shown on the reduced site plan attached <br />as Exhibit A; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the expansion will add 42 parking stalls to the existing 68 stalls for a total of <br />110 parking stalls, which satisfies the City's parking code requirements for a school with 32 <br />classrooms and 660 students; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Public Works Director, Community Development Director, Engineering <br />Technician, Fire Marshal and Water Works Supervisor have reviewed the submitted site plans; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Rice Creek Watershed District has reviewed the submitted grading and <br />drainage plans and tabled action on a required watershed permit with authorization for <br />administrative approval pending the receipt ofa $1,500 cash surety to be paid to the watershed <br />district; and, <br />
