<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5569 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AND THE MINNEAPOLIS METRO NORTH <br />CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City has enacted a tax on lodging with the City to fund a <br />convention and visitors bureau in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section <br />469.190. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Minneapolis Metro North Convention and Visitors Bureau <br />has the staff, facility, and experience to carry out the objectives of promoting the City as <br />a tourist and convention center. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City desires the Minneapolis Metro North Convention <br />and Visitors Bureau to provide the services of a convention and visitors bureau on <br />behalf of the City, and the bureau desires to provide those services. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View hereby approves the Convention and Visitors Bureau Agreement <br />by and between the City of Mounds View and the Minneapolis Metro North Convention <br />and Visitors Bureau and authorizes the City Clerk-Administrator and Mayor to sign the <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />Adopted this 11th day of June, 2001. <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Rich sonterretayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />1\dJl~..~ <br />Kathleen Miller, City Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br />Approval <br /> <br />Motion: <br />Second: <br />Santerre: <br />Stigney: <br />Quick: <br />Marty: <br />Thomas: <br /> <br />Thomas <br />Quick <br />Aye <br />Aye <br />Aye <br />Aye <br />Aye <br /> <br />J <br />
