<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5570 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL AND STAFF TO ABSTAIN <br />FROM TALKING WITH THE MEDIA REGARDING ALL ISSUES RELATING TO THE <br />TERMINATION OF THE GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT AND FINANCE DIRECTOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Mounds View City Council voted to abstain from discussing with the <br />media any and all issues related to the termination of the Golf Course Superintendent and <br />Finance Director at its June 11,2001 City Council Meeting. and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney advised at that meeting that imminent potential litigation is <br />likely based upon recent correspondence from the former employees' attorney; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council must speak with a unified voice in order to protect the best <br />interests of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council further discussed having all correspondence regarding this <br />matter addressed in Press Releases, created by Administration, reviewed by the City Attorney <br />and approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mounds View City Council that the City <br />Council and employees of the City are hereby directed to cease discussing all issues as they <br />relate to the termination of the Golf Course Superintendent and Finance Director. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Mounds View City Council <br />that all information regarding this issue will be addressed in periodic press releases. created by <br />the Administrative Staff, reviewed by the City Attorney and approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />Adopted this 18tl1 day of June, 2001. <br /> <br />ATl'ESl : <br /> <br />~0 <br />Richard Sont rre, May <br /> <br />SEAL: <br /> <br />/')~ '-f ':-1'}~ <br /> <br />Kathleen F.
