Resolution 5598 August U. 2001 Page 2 \VIIEREAS, thc Mounds Vicw City Council hcld a public hearing rcgarding this request on August 13, 200 I; and, \VHEREAS, thc Mounds Vicw City Council finds that the proposal satisfics thc dimensional requircmcnts as outlined in Chapters 1104 and 1106 the Zoning Codc; and, WHEREAS, the \1ounds View City Council finds that thc request is consistent with thc Mounds View Comprehensivc Plan in that thc Comprehensive Plan cncourages the devclopmcnt and maintenance of rcsidential arcas so as to improvc thc quality, appcarance and attractivcncss of housing units and residcntial property in gencral; and, \VHEREAS, thc Mounds View City Council finds that thc proposed garage would not bc out of place given thc charactcr and geography of the surrounding area involved in that other homes in thc arca have similar sized garagcs and that there is sufficicnt room on thc subject property to accommodatc such a structure; and, \VHEREAS. thc Mounds Vicw City Council finds that thc proposed garagc addition would not deprcciate the neighborhood; and, \\'IIEREAS, the Mounds View City Council finds that the applicant has sufficiently demonstratcd that a need cxists lor the proposed oversized garagc; and, NO\V. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds Vicw City Council approves thc conditional use pcrmit \vith the following stipulations: I. Thc applicant shall arrange to rccord the City Council resolution approving the conditional use pcrmit with Ramsey County and provide proof of such recordation to the City within sixty days or Council approval or this permit shall be considered null and void. ') The garagc shall not be used for commercial purposes, living space or other uscs not allowed within the R-I Single-Family Residential district or by the Zoning Code. Should the use change lar which the pCllllit was granted, the conditional use pellllit shall be considered null and void. 3. The garage shall be constructed of materials that match the existing structure.
