RESOLUTION 8108 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING STANTEC CONSULTING SERVICES INC. TO PERFORM ENGINEERING <br /> DESIGN SERVICES AND PREPARE BIDDING DOCUMENTS FOR AREA G OF THE <br /> STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, on October 22, 2007 the City Council adopted Resolution 7176 <br /> establishing the Street and Utility Improvement Program (Program), which includes nine <br /> Street and Utility Improvement Project areas identified as Areas A through I totaling 25.9 <br /> miles of streets; and <br /> WHEREAS, Areas A through F have been constructed or are under construction and <br /> total 17.4 miles of the Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Area G of the Program is the next project area to be constructed and is <br /> programmed for a 2014 construction season; and <br /> WHEREAS, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. (formerly known as "Bonestroo") has <br /> provided professional engineering services for all projects completed in the Program to date <br /> on behalf of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. has provided a fee proposal to perform <br /> engineering design services and prepare bidding documents for the Area G project, and <br /> Public Works engineering staff recommends Stantec to perform these services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. Stantec Consulting Services Inc. is authorized to perform engineering design services <br /> and prepare bidding documents for Area G of the Street and Utility Improvement <br /> Program (City Project No. 2013-002). Compensation will be on an hourly basis plus <br /> reimbursable expenses with an estimated maximum fee of$94,000. <br /> 2. The Director of Public Works is authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the <br /> City, to execute and enter into a professional services agreement with Stantec for <br /> said services. <br /> 3. The Director of Public Works is authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the <br /> City, to execute and enter into a professional services agreement with a qualified <br /> geotechnical engineering firm to perform geotechnical and environmental evaluation <br /> services for the Area G design phase for a maximum fee of$10,000. <br /> 4.
