RESOLUTION 8124 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING THE 2014 PURCHASE OF A DEMO AEBI TERRATRAC TT240 <br /> TRACTOR WITH A SEPPI CF 2225 ROUGH CUT MOWER AND A 126" BATWING <br /> MOWER <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks Department is responsible for maintaining 3,500 acres of <br /> park land, in which 170 acres are mowed, along with the maintenance of 6 ice skating <br /> rinks; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Street Department maintains 15 miles of trails which include <br /> rough cutting the edges in the growing months and snow removal in the winter months; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Storm Water Department has 300 infiltration swales (the count <br /> continues to grow with each street project) and 10 regional ponds of which half are <br /> rough cut once a year; and <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Department has used various mowers and tractors in <br /> the past and staff found the AEBI Terratrac TT70 for more superior than the Ford New <br /> Holland 4360 that was in used in the past; and <br /> WHEREAS, The tractor is showing those signs of wear, heavy rust in the main <br /> frame and appears in the front post as well as around the windows; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Equipment Distribution Management, <br /> Inc. off the Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Contract; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota: <br /> 1. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of a Demo AEBI Terratrac TT240 <br /> Tractor with options from Equipment Distribution Management, Inc. of <br /> Bemidji, Minnesota, at the cost of $159,159.00 not including any applicable <br /> license fees in the budget year 2014. <br /> 2. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of a Seppi Rev CF 2225 rough cut <br /> mower from Equipment Distribution Management, Inc. of Bemidji, Minnesota, <br /> at the cost of$11,017.00 in the budget year 2014. <br /> 3. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of a 126" Lastec Batwing Mower <br /> from Equipment Distribution Management, Inc. of Bemidji, Minnesota at a <br /> cost of$17,500.00 in the budget year 2014. <br /> 4. Less the 3% State Contract discount of$5,630.28. <br />
