<br />RESOLUTION NO. 6543 <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 6543 APPROVING A REVISED LABOR CONTRACT WITH LAW <br />ENFORCEMENT LABOR SERVICES, INC. (LELS), LOCAL 204 (POLICE OFFICERS) <br />FOR 2004-2005 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds View ratified the LELS, Local #232 <br />(Police Sergeants) Contract for the year 2003, on April 25, 2005 and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it was determined that an amendment to Section 23 SEVERANCE PAY <br />was intended to be included as part of the original ratification of the contract and included as <br />part of the following amendments: <br /> <br />1. Article 9 Probationary Periods <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />9.1 All newly hired or rehired employees will serve a twelve (12) months' <br />probationary period. <br /> <br />9.2 All employees will serve a six (6) months' probationary period in any job <br />classification in which the employee has not served a probationary <br />period. <br /> <br />9.3 At any time during the probationary period a newly hired or rehired <br />employee may be terminated at the sole discretion of the EMPLOYER. <br /> <br />9.4 At any time during the probationary period a promoted or reassigned <br />employee may be demoted or reassigned to the employee's pervious <br />position at the sole discretion of the EMPLOYER. <br /> <br />2. Article 17 Insurance <br /> <br />17.1 The EMPLOYER will contribute to each employee per month a <br />maximum amount equal to eighty percent (80%) of the lowest cost family <br />health insurance for employee and family health insurance and basic life <br />insurance, or an amount as agreed in Section 17.3. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />17.2 Employees may designate any unused portion of the EMPLOYER <br />contribution amount to provide dental coverage and/or supplemental life <br />insurance offered according to established guidelines through the City's <br />plans. <br /> <br />17.3 The Employer will contribute a maximum amount of $613.30 per month <br />in 2004 to each full-time permanent employee, for group health, dental <br />and life insurance including dependant coverage. <br />
