<br />r <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6557 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPOINTING NICHOLAS FLEISCHHACKER TO A VACANCY IN THE <br />SURFACE WATER DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Marla Manypenny, a Surface Water Division employee has <br />submitted a letter of resignation, thus creating a vacancy in this division of the <br />Public Works Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 19 of the Labor Agreement between the City of <br />Mounds View and the Public Works Department states that "permanent job <br />vacancies within the department shall be filled based on the concept of <br />promotion from within provided that applicants: have the necessary qualifications <br />to meet the standards of the job vacancy and have the ability to perform the <br />duties and responsibilities of the job vacancy"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said vacancy was posted internally and interest in the <br />position was expressed by Nicholas Fleischhacker, who currently works in Sewer <br />Division of Public Works; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Director and Public Works Supervisor have <br />met with Mr. Fleischhacker to discuss his interest and qualifications, as well as <br />expectations for the position; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Director and Public Works Supervisor <br />recommend that Mr. Fleischhacker be appointed to fill the vacancy in the Surface <br />Water Division of the Public Works Department and that Staff be authorized to <br />advertise for the vacant position in the Sanitary Sewer Division. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby appoint Nicholas Fleischhacker to the vacancy in the <br />Surface Water Division of the Public Works Department effective June 27, 2005; <br />and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there will be no <br />compensation adjustments, as this is a lateral move within the Public Works <br />Department; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council <br />directs Staff to fill the vacancy in the Sewer Division left vacant by Mr. <br />Fleischhacker's appointment to the Surface Water Division of the Public Works <br />Department. <br />
