RESOLUTION NO. 8134 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE OFFICER (PSO) <br /> POSITION IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View will have an opening within the Police <br /> Department for the position of Public Service Officer, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission (the"Commission") <br /> maintains an eligibility list for the Public Service Officer (PSO) position, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the previous eligibility list for the PSO position, created in 2010, is no <br /> longer current, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Service Officer is an essential position to the operations of <br /> the Police Department and Community Development Department, and having a <br /> replacement PSO in place as soon as practical is critical to maintaining uninterrupted <br /> continuity of functional Police and code enforcement operations, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the replacement PSO shall be hired from the Commission's new <br /> eligibility list. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br /> hereby approve advertising to create a new eligibility list for the position of Public Service <br /> Officer for the City of Mounds View and authorizes staff to complete the process of <br /> recommending a final candidate to the City Council for hire. <br /> Adopted this 12th day of August, 2013. <br /> e Flahe : •r <br /> ATTEST: <br /> i/Vvl- <br /> Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
