RESOLUTION NO. 8140 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR <br /> OFFICER BRIAN SMITH <br /> MOUNDS VIEW POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Officer Brian Smith resigned from the Mounds View Police Department <br /> effective July 23, 2013; and <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 28.34 hours; and <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused compensatory time is 35.0 hours; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Officer Brian Smith's current rate of pay is $21.32 per hour; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 23.1 of the LELS Local 204 Labor <br /> Agreement, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 28.34 <br /> accrued/unused vacation hours x his hourly rate of$21.32 = $604.21; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 23.1 of the LELS Local 204 Labor <br /> Agreement, the maximum potential payout of unused compensatory time will be 35.0 <br /> accrued/unused compensatory hours x his hourly rate of$21.32 = $746.20. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br /> approves a one-time payout of vacation time to Officer Smith not to exceed $604.21, in <br /> accordance with Article 23.1 of the LELS Local 204 Labor Agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City <br /> Council approves a one-time payout of compensatory time to Officer Smith not to exceed <br /> $746.20, in accordance with 23.1 of the LELS Local 204 Labor Agreement. <br /> Adopted this 12th day of August, 2013. <br /> r <br /> •e Flah-y, V ayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
