<br />. <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6582 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MARK C. BEER AS THE <br />FINANCE DIRECTOR/TREASURER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View Finance Director/Treasurer <br />position has been vacant since May 2005; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has received and reviewed applications for the <br />position and interviewed two candidates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mark C. Beer's skills and experience most closely <br />match the city's needs. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City <br />Council appoints Mark C. Beer as the City of Mounds View Finance <br />Director/Treasurer, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes a <br />starting salary of $67,246.40 (step 2) annually with an increase to Step 3 <br />(currently $71,219.20) in 6 months pending a satisfactory performance evaluation <br />and an increase to Step 4 one year from the start date, and Step 5 two years <br />from the start date, pending a satisfactory performance evaluation, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that vacation accruals will begin at <br />three weeks annually for Mr. Beer and that Mr. Beer is hereby authorized leave <br />without pay for a previously committed vacation planned for September 8-18, <br />2005, subject to utilization of any applicable leave time accumulated to that date, <br />and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this offer of employment is <br />contingent upon satisfactory reference, criminal and financial background <br />checks. Mr. Beer will begin employment with the City on (or as soon as possible <br />after) August 15, 2005, and <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that all other personnel policies will <br />apply normally. <br />
