<br />RESOLUTION NO. 4999 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING FIRE MOTOR OPERATOR MICI-!AEL J. WELLE -FOR HIS SERVICE <br />TO THE SPRING LAKE PARK/BLAINE/MOUNDS VIEW FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Spring Lake Park/Blaine/Mounds View Fire Department has announced the <br />retirement of Fire Motor Operator Michael J. Welle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Welle is retiring a.fter completing 17 years of service with the department, having <br />joined the department on August 17, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Welle was assigned to Station 3 asa day firefighter. He was appointed as Acting <br />Fire Motor Operator in December of 1980 -and was promoted to permanent Fire Motor Operator in <br />June of 1981; and <br /> <br />-- <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Welle maintained his First Aid/CPR certification throughout his tenure with the <br />department and attended various basic firefighter training classes, as well as courses in Fire Motor <br />Operator basic and refresher training, defensive driving, Pump Operator 1- and Emergency Vehicle <br />Operator; and <br /> <br />~e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Welle also compl~ted courses in radiological monitoring, Hazardous Materials <br />Awareness, and LP Gas Fires; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Welle was certified at Firefighter Levell in 1989 and Firefighter Level II in 1990; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Welle received Awards of Merit for Attending the most number of drifls of all <br />personnel at Station 3 for the years of 1987 and 1988. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE [T RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council commends Fire Motor <br />Operator Michael J.
