<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5000 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SCHEDULING OF CERTAIN MEETINGS OF <br />RESIDENT GROUPS IN THE BEL RAE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, numerous Mounds View groups have been approaching city staff and city <br />council members requesting usc of the Bel Rae for meetings that cannot be accommodated in any <br />other city facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city currcntly has computer software to schedule use of city facilities, <br />has policies requiring payment of key deposits and room deposits, and is familiar with the needs <br />and risks associated with various resident groups who have used city facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to encourage civic use of the Bel Rae <br />during the interim period in which planning for its renovation continues; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT city staff be allowed to schedule <br />meetings of Mounds View resident groups such as homeowner and rental association meetings, <br />neighborhood crime watch meetings and similar meetings of residents which cannot be <br />accommodated in other city facilities, using existing policies for use of other city facilities, with <br />the understanding that any such scheduled meetings could be canceled with a two-week notice if <br />staff determines such meeting would interfere with plans for remodeling of the Bel Rae. <br /> <br />Adopted this 26th day of August, 1996 <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
