<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4240 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THOSE RECYCLABLE MATERIALS THAT MUST BE <br />COLLECTED BY WASTE HAULERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View recognizes the need to <br />divert solid waste from area landfills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the recycling of certain types of solid waste has <br />proven to be an environmental alternative to landfills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the need exists to standardize the types of <br />materials taken for recycling in order to more effectively <br />promote city recycling; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Environmental Quality Task Force has reviewed <br />the following list of materials and has recommended that all <br />haulers be required to accept the materials for recycling. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View designates the following items to be <br />"Recyclable Materials" which are required to be separately <br />collected and taken to a recycling facility for disposal: <br /> <br />a) Newsprint, including advertising inserts <br />b) Office-type Paper (limited to white paper and <br />envelopes) <br />c) Glass Bottles and Jars <br />d) Aluminum Cans <br />e) Metal Food Cans <br />f) Corrugated Cardboard Boxes <br />g) Plastic Bottles with a Neck <br />h) Magazines <br /> <br />Adopted this 22nd day of June, 1992. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
