<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4247 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INTERFUND TRANSFER AND CLOSING THE <br />LEGAL DEFENSE AND COMPOST FUNDS AND TRANSFERRING THE ASSETS OF <br />SAID FUNDS TO THE MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE FUND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Legal Defense Fund was established to account <br />for a property tax levy that was designated in 1988 to pay the <br />costs of the City's lawsuit against Williams Pipeline Company; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Compost Fund was established in 1988 to account <br />for a grant from Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Recycling Fund was created in 1988 to account <br />for a grant from Ramsey County and the Metropolitan Council to <br />operate a recycling program within the city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the activity in these Funds has been minimal or is <br />no longer pertinent to present city operations and activities; <br />and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a deficit of $7,507 exists in the Recycling Fund <br />thereby necessitating an interfund transfer. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the <br />City of Mounds View that the Finance Director-Treasurer is hereby <br />directed to do the following: <br /> <br />1. Transfer $7,507 from the Legal Defense Fund to the <br />Recycling Fund. <br /> <br />2. Close the Legal Defense and Compost Funds. <br /> <br />3.
