<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6013 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPOINTING LINDA MEYER TO A <br />VACANCY IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The position of Police Administrative Assistant has been vacant <br />since July 19, 2002. On January 13, 2003, the council approved a temporary <br />arrangement allowing the Senior Clerk Typist, Linda Meyer, to work out of classification <br />performing the duties of Police Administrative Assistant pending the assessment of the <br />Chief of Police, and action by the Police Civil Service Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A meeting of the Police Civil Service Commission was held on <br />March 11, 2003 concerning permanently hiring to fill the vacancy. At this meeting <br />various options for filling the position were considered. Ultimately, the police Civil <br />Service Commission unanimously passed a motion to Place Linda Meyer into the <br />Service Register in the position of Police Administrative Assistant. This action would act <br />to serve as an internal promotion; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Chief of Police and Deputy Chief of Police have met with Ms. <br />Meyer to discuss her interest and qualifications, as well as expectations for the position; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has evaluated Ms. Meyer's performance as the <br />temporary Administrative Assistant, and based on this evaluation the Chief of Police <br />recommends that Ms. Meyer be appointed to fill the Police Administrative Assistant <br />vacancy. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby appoint Linda Meyer to the position of Police Administrative Assistant at <br />wage step 4.
