RESOLUTION 8273 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A SERVICE CONTRACT FOR HVAC EQUIPMENT <br /> MAINTENANCE WITH TRANE <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns thirteen separate facilities with heating, ventilating, and air <br /> conditioning (HVAC) equipment, of which six contain more complicated systems that require <br /> contractor assistance with preventative maintenance to allow reliable, efficient, and safe <br /> operation while providing comfortable indoor air building climates; and <br /> WHEREAS, Trane has been performing HVAC maintenance for City Hall since 2007 <br /> and recently successfully performed replacement of Roof Top Unit No. 4 for the Event Center at <br /> the Community Center and upgrades to the building automation system (BAS) and controllers; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with current contract with the Cooperative Purchasing <br /> Network ("TCPN"), Trane provided a fee proposal to perform BAS and HVAC equipment <br /> maintenance for municipal buildings at the following lump sum prices: <br /> Year 1: $3,927.25/quarter ($15,709 annually) <br /> Year 2: $4,045.25/quarter ($16,181 annually) <br /> Year 3: $4,166.75/quarter ($16,667 annually) <br /> Year 4: $4,291.25/quarter ($17,165 annually) <br /> Year 5: $4,420.00/quarter ($17,680 annually) <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works recommends Trane to perform BAS and HVAC equipment <br /> maintenance on all municipal buildings based upon Trane's past performance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. A service agreement with Trane to perform BAS and HVAC equipment maintenance on <br /> municipal buildings is hereby approved for the above said amounts. <br /> 2.
