<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6040 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE CONTRACT AWARD FOR THE ANNUAL SANITARY SEWER <br />ROOT ABATEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 27,2003, the City Council approved Resolution No. 6019 <br />awarding the Annual Sanitary Sewer Root Abatement Project to Westco Environmental <br />Services Inc. in the estimated amount of $12,844.86 ($1.02/ foot); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Westco Environmental Services Inc. has failed to provide the City <br />with a copy of their pesticide applicators license and have been disqualified as a <br />responsive bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the second low bidder was Duke's Root Control in the estimated <br />amount of $13,222.65. ($1.05/ foot); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Duke's Root Control has been awarded the Sanitary Sewer Root <br />Abatement Project for the last three years and has met or exceeded the City's <br />specifications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2003 adopted budget has $15,000.00 in funds allocated for root <br />removal in the City's sanitary sewer system (account 730-4823-5160). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby rescind Resolution No. 6019 and approve a contract award with Duke's <br />Root Control in the estimated amount of $13,222.65 for the Annual Sanitary Sewer Root <br />Abatement Project. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of June 2003. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />".JC,1; 1WJ~ q,f<A.,tkOPV <br />James Ericson <br />Interim City Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br />(seal) <br />
