RESOLUTION 8281 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING STANTEC CONSULTING SERVICES INC. TO PERFORM ENGINEERING <br /> DESIGN SERVICES AND PREPARE BIDDING DOCUMENTS FOR AREA H OF THE <br /> STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, on October 22, 2007 the City Council adopted Resolution 7176 <br /> establishing the Street and Utility Improvement Program (Program), which includes nine <br /> Street and Utility Improvement Project areas identified as Areas A through I totaling 25.9 <br /> miles of streets; and <br /> WHEREAS, Areas A through G have been constructed or are under construction <br /> and total 20.2 miles of the Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Area H of the Program is the next project area to be constructed and is <br /> programmed for a 2015 construction season; and <br /> WHEREAS, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. (formerly known as "Bonestroo") has <br /> provided professional engineering services for all projects completed in the Program to date <br /> on behalf of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. has provided a fee proposal to perform <br /> engineering design services and prepare bidding documents for the Area H project, and <br /> Public Works engineering staff recommends Stantec to perform these services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. Stantec Consulting Services Inc. is authorized to perform engineering design services <br /> and prepare bidding documents for Area H of the Street and Utility Improvement <br /> Program (City Project No. 2014-004). Compensation will be on'an hourly basis plus <br /> reimbursable expenses with an estimated maximum fee of$133,300. <br /> 2. Braun Intertec Corporation is authorized to perform geotechnical and environmental <br /> evaluation of subsurface conditions for Area H and I of the Street and Utility <br /> Improvement Program. Compensation will be on lump sum basis with an estimated <br /> maximum fee of$20,905. <br /> 3. The Director of Public Works is authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the <br /> City, to execute and enter into a professional services agreement with Stantec and <br /> Braun Intertec for said services. <br /> 4.
