<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6051 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY REPORT AND <br />CONSULTANT SELECTION FOR THE SILVER VIEW SEDIMENTATION POND PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Based on discussions with the Rice Creek Watershed District <br />Director, the City should submit a proposal to install a sedimentation pond near the northwest <br />area of Silverview; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the development of a feasibility report and sedimentation pond at <br />the west end of Silverview Pond is included in the City's Local Water Management Plan at an <br />estimated cost of $33,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this pond is also included in the City's Capital Improvement Program <br />scheduled for the year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are several engineering consultants within the City's <br />"consultant pool" from whom services could be obtained; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the Council retain the services the <br />engineering firm of Short Elloitt Henderickson Inc. (SEH) to assist in the preparation of the <br />preliminary engineering report and other aspects of this project, as directed by City Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. It is hereby authorized that the preliminary report for the Silverview Pond Project <br />be prepared. Said preliminary report shall include an analysis as to whether the <br />proposed improvements are necessary, cost effective, and feasible. <br /> <br />2. The services of the engineering firm of Short Elloitt Henderickson Inc.
