<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6061 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A PROSECUTION SERVICES <br />RETAINER AGREEMENT WITH THE FIRM HUGHES AND COSTELLO <br />THROUGH THE END OF 2005 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 10, 2003, the City Council of the City of Mounds View <br />adopted Resolution 5963 which authorized staff to distribute requests for proposals <br />(RFPs) for legal services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon closure of the period to submit a response, the City had <br />received proposals from thirteen firms, four of which submitted proposals to provide the <br />City with prosecution services; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon review of the four responses, the City of Mounds View <br />determined that the response from Hughes & Costello, the firm currently providing <br />prosecuting services to the City, best matched its needs; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the firm of Hughes & Costello proposes to provide the City with <br />prosecution services through the end of 2005; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the current retainer amount of $3,875 would be maintained through <br />the end of 2004 with an increase to $4,000 for the year 2005. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby approve the retainer agreement extension with the firm Hughes & Costello <br />to provide prosecution representation services through the end of 2005 and authorizes <br />the execution of said agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, THAT the agreement and <br />monthly retainer fees shall be subject to annual review and reconsideration to ensure <br />City Council satisfaction with the arrangements. <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of July 2003. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />~~YY\.e)') f1?~~ <br />James Ericson, Interim City Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
